monome is more than a company, it is a community. founded on the principles of open-source engineering and sustainable small-scale manufacturing, monome has seeded an all-star cast of artists & programmers. i made this mix to celebrate the wonderful people i’ve met through monome, and to showcase the amazing talent in this collaborative community. this is a small sampling of my favorite monome music, including live sets, remixes, and unreleased tracks.

Self-Titled Magazine just premiered a mix I made, exclusively featuring monomists. Lot’s of friends on here, live sets from events I’ve organized, and some rare & unheard tunes.

Chris Shier (of GIFmelter fame) made this incredible interactive visualization for my song ‘i/o’. Please take a second to check it out, and make sure to play around - the visuals respond to the position and clicks of your mouse. Chris takes us through a few unique and stunning visualizations as the song progresses - I think it is a perfect fit! If you are curious for more, he has a ton of amazing work on his site.

The rare monome is perhaps the most organic electronic instrument out there, and one that has built an ardent community of users in the decade since its invention.

WIRED just wrote a feature on myself & the monome. I’m very honored to have the chance to play ambassador to such a wonderful community.
